How it works

Need a ride? Nine taps, no detours.

Driving anyway? Share the empty seat.

Matched to your route

A rider passing a kilometre from your door counts, even if they start in another city.

You see who, before you ask

Rating, reviews, a licence and RC checked by a person, and the vehicle.

A fair share

The fare follows the distance you ride, rounded to the nearest ₹10.

Your drive, your rules

Set seats, stops and one fare. Syncy suggests the fare from the distance.

You choose who comes

See each person's profile and their stretch before you accept.

Costs shared, not a business

Passengers pay you for their part. You're never a taxi.

Matching

Matches your route, not just your city.

Syncy doesn't stop at a city name. It follows the road the rider will actually take.

  1. Rahul posts his drive to Cyber Hub, leaving at 8:10 AM.
  2. Priya searches from Sector 45. Syncy looks 1.5 km around her.
  3. The nearest point on his route becomes her pickup: 700 m away, around 8:25 AM.
  4. Amit is 3.2 km away. He still sees the ride, under Nearby rides.

Fares

Pay for your part of the trip.

The fare follows the distance you ride, and the sum is shown in the app. Nobody has to guess.

  1. Rahul's whole drive is 108 km. He asks ₹300 for it.
  2. Priya rides 64 km of it, Manesar to Neemrana.
  3. She pays for her part, not the whole drive.
  4. ₹178, rounded to the nearest ₹10. Priya pays ₹180, directly to Rahul.

Seats

One seat, two trips.

A seat is held only for the stretch someone rides. When one person gets off, the same seat can carry the next.

  1. Priya books Gurugram to Dharuhera.
  2. Neha books Dharuhera to Neemrana, on the same seat.
  3. The seat carries both, one after the other.
  4. More of Rahul's drive is shared.

Two wheels or four

Ride on a bike or in a car.

Bike

One passenger, quick through traffic. The simplest way to share a daily ride.

Car

Up to four seats. Book two at once for someone travelling with you.

Why Syncy

A seat that's already going your way.

Not a taxi, and not a solo drive. Here's how they differ: no made-up prices, just how each one works.

The fare calculator below shows the real maths.

Fare calculator

See what a fair share looks like.

Riders set one fare for the whole drive. Syncy suggests it, and each passenger pays for the part they ride. This uses the same maths as the app.

km

Suggested: about ₹270 (₹2.5 a km).

You pay

₹180

₹300 × 64 ÷ 108 km = ₹178, rounded to ₹180.

You pay the rider directly. The rider sees this same amount on your request before accepting it.

Safety

Trust, built into every ride.

You should know who you're riding with, and you should always have a way out.

Every rider is checked by a person. Riders send their driving licence and RC, and someone on the Syncy team checks both before they can post a ride.
Help is one tap away. While a ride is running, SOS lets you call 112 from your phone, share the ride with your contacts, or tell Syncy where you are.

Report and block

Report anyone you've ridden with. Blocking hides you from each other, and they're never told.

Private contact details

Your phone number and email stay off your profile. You talk in the app's chat.

Number plate after booking

The full vehicle number shows once the rider accepts you, so you know which one to get into.

Reviews after every ride

Both sides rate each other, so the next person knows what to expect.

Every day

Same road, same people, every weekday.

Riders can repeat a drive on the days they choose. People who ride along often become regulars, and their seat is kept for them each day.

Nothing on your route today? Turn on an alert for seven days, and hear from Syncy as soon as a matching ride is posted.

When plans change

Plans change. You're kept in the loop.

The rider cancels

You get a notification straight away, and Syncy points you to backup rides on your route.

No reply in time

If the rider doesn't answer, your request closes by itself 10 minutes before pickup, so you still have time to find another ride.

You can't make it

Cancel from the ride's page. The rider is told, and the seat opens up again for someone else.

The rider is running late

Chat with them in the app. “Running 5 min late” is one tap, and your number stays private.

A different person or vehicle

Don't get in. The number plate shows once you're booked. If it doesn't match, report “Different person or vehicle”.

You feel unsafe

Tap SOS during the ride to call 112, share your ride with someone, or tell Syncy where you are.

Our promise

Syncy is not a taxi.

Riders share what the drive costs. They don't earn from it. That's written into our Terms, and it's why every fare is split by distance.

Questions

Good to know.

Is Syncy a taxi service?

No. Riders are people already making the drive. They share a spare seat and the cost of the trip. Syncy doesn't employ drivers or own vehicles.

How is the fare worked out?

The rider sets one fare for the whole drive. You pay for the share of the distance you ride, rounded to the nearest ₹10, with a small minimum. You pay the rider directly.

Is the fare fixed?

The rider sets one fare for the whole drive. Syncy suggests it from the distance and caps it at twice the suggestion. You pay for the part you ride, and the app shows that amount before you ask for a seat.

How does payment work?

You pay the rider directly, in cash or UPI, for the amount the app showed when you asked for the seat. Syncy doesn't handle the money.

Can I choose who I ride with?

Yes. Before you ask, you see the rider's photo, rating, reviews, verified badge and vehicle. Riders see your profile before they accept.

Can women choose to ride only with women?

Not as a filter yet. You see every rider's profile before you ask, and riders see yours before they accept, so both sides choose. Anyone can be blocked or reported.

Who can offer rides?

Anyone 18 or older with a valid driving licence for the vehicle they drive. Before their first ride, riders send their licence and RC, and a person at Syncy checks both. The vehicle doesn't have to be in their name, but they need the owner's permission.

Do I need a vehicle?

Only if you want to offer rides. To travel as a passenger, you just need an account.

Can I book for a friend?

In a car, you can book two seats in one booking for someone travelling with you. For more, your friend books from their own account.

What happens if someone cancels?

If the rider cancels, you're told at once and shown backup rides on your route. If you cancel, the seat opens for someone else. No money changes hands in the app, so there's nothing to refund.

Can I set up a daily office ride?

Yes. Once you have a seat with a rider, either of you can ask to make it a regular commute on the weekdays you choose. When both agree, your seat is held on those days, and each of you confirms at least 12 hours before.

What if something goes wrong on a ride?

While the ride is running, press SOS to call 112, share the ride with your emergency contacts, or tell Syncy where you are. After a ride, you can report or block anyone you travelled with.

Who can see my phone number?

It isn't shown on your profile. Riders and passengers talk to each other in the app's chat.
